I actually wanted Germany to win Eurovision. I know that's the kind of thing that anyone would say, but I downloaded the song onto my iPod before the results, so neerrrr. ;)
Btw, if England had come above dead last, I would have been disappointed. We were crap.
I also quite like Belgium, the guy talking about his love for his guitar. My kinda song.
To the rest of Europe - I am truly sorry you had to sit all the way through our crap song. I'd never even heard of this Josh dude until Thursday. Plus, the song choice? I mean, seriously, what the hell?
1. I'm off school. I've got a thumping headache and a god awful stomache upset. Oh yeh, and to top it all off, I know have braces. I got them on Tuesday, (today's Friday) and they are KILLING me. There are these pointless bits on the sides of them which are giving me blisters. They're light blue, which I kinda like, but they hurt like hell.
2. My sister's taking her driving test today. :/. I really don't know what's going to happen. I think it's a 50/50. If she doesn't pass they'll be ALOT of tears. Trust me, that's just her. :/
3. I really want a cool sweatshirt. I'm not sure why, I just think they're quite cool. I saw this one on Ebay. It's a Vouge cover with Kate Moss on it. After seeing Kate Moss in Topshop in Liverpool, I have felt a strange connection with her (;. I love this vintage sweatshirt, the black and grey, the baggy oversized cut, I just love it. It's also available in the opposite colours (the motif is white, and the background is black).
Today, I went to a vintage Market. My best friend, Bee, was going to come, but she got in a fight with her parents, and they said she couldn't. So, I went with just my mum. We saw some really cool stalls, there are a couple of links below to some cool websites.
Because Bee couldn't come, and I'm a good friend, I got Bee some earrings :)
It was mostly vintage pieces, all sorts of stuff - Bags, jewelery, Antiques, furniture and, of course, clothes. I got a dress and a key ring, which I know sounds really babyish - 'I got a key ring with Scooby Do on it!' Na, it was a piece of wood with flowers painted on it. It was, like, £3. So I didn't pass up the offer.
There were loads of dresses, and now I'm kinda regretting buying the one I got, although I do love it. It's faded and it's got these little Chinese people with flowers and parisoles printed on it. It's got that scrunchy material at the sides on the top
The annoying thing about shopping with me mum, was all she thought about was practicality. I had to explain to her that there's a fine line between vintage and old granny... or was it the other way round?
Yesterday, I went to a national trust house with a big park. We walked round and I took some pictures, which I'll put up some other time. There was a gift shop and they soly mostly soap and umbrellas and crumby stuff like that, but they also sold hats. They had some flat grandad caps and some straw grandad hats. I got a straw one, and I love it :). I wasn't even put off when the old man behind me in the queue for the check out was buying the hat.
I love the summer. Every year, it's different. Spring. My favourite thing from Summer '09 was the oversized bows. I loved that they weren't accesories, they were actually sowed onto the pieces, like it was as one. I just loved the bows.
This summer, my favourite thing is the maxi dress. One of my friends on facebook had pictures of her dad and step-mums wedding, and her step sister had long Luna Lovegood style hair, a head band round her and this pink, black, white and orange print maxi dress. I've got a picture, but I thought she probably wouldn't want her face on my blog soo I painted out her face. Don't you just love the dress?
I do. I LOVE red lipstick. Ever since VOUGE Nov'09 with the Georgia Jagger (Youngest daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall Georgia May Jagger) photo shoot. She had this messy mane of blode hair and bright red lipstick. I was so jealous it was unbelievable. Now she's the face of Rimmel London. I don't really like Georgia Jagger. I don't find the gap in her teeth attractive, I find it ugly. However, I LOVE her look. She just like her dad, a complete rockstar.
I tried recreating the look, but it didn't really work. I had to use my webcam :/
And we'll kick 'em to the curb unless they look like Georgia Jagger
I saw this girl at the train station the other day, and she was wearing the quirkiest clothes. She had these huge square glasses with thick frames and hi-hi top converses. She had this black bob with a roughly cut fringe, worn out red skinny's, a yellow tucked-in tank top, a huge plain black belt and a sky blue pinstriped blazer with huge navy cuffs and collar. As soon as I got home I recreated the look on the nearest piece of paper. I loved the way she used simple primary colours and wasn't affraid of looking really cool. :)
If somethings new and shiny, then it's boring. Clothes need a life, a story, to make them interesting. I remember things throuhg clothes. I look at something and think 'Oooo, I remember wearing that when I _______ and it was AMAZING'. Clothes are supposed to bring your inside to the outside.
I like wearing men's shirts, wearing dresses with wooly tights, teapots that don't spill everywhere, sitting in the back garden in late evening watching my rabbit hop around the garden, listening to alternative music with sweet tunes and soft beats, reading at 3:00am on Mondays when I know I've got school in the morning and getting into strong conversations with my friend Harry about pointless things like politics and dinosaurs invading London.
